This Social Media Policy outlines how Acute Rescue and Transport, Inc. (“Acute Rescue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) manages its official presence on social media platforms, the expectations for public interaction with those accounts, and legal obligations regarding online content.

1. Purpose

Acute Rescue uses social media to:

  • Share public health and safety information
  • Announce community events and public EMS coverage
  • Engage with the communities we serve
  • Highlight our teams, partnerships, and services
  • Provide operational updates in non-emergency situations

Our social media channels are not monitored 24/7 and should not be used for emergency medical services, reporting emergencies, or transmitting Protected Health Information (PHI). If you have an emergency, call 911 immediately.

2. Official Accounts

Only social media accounts listed below or linked through www.acuterescue.com or verified by platform credentials are considered official Acute Rescue social media channels.

3. Public Use Guidelines

We encourage public participation on our social platforms but reserve the right to moderate comments and content. By interacting with our accounts, you agree:

  • Not to post PHI or sensitive personal data about yourself or others
  • Not to post obscene, profane, threatening, or discriminatory content
  • Not to impersonate Acute Rescue staff, affiliates, or other users
  • Not to post content promoting illegal, unsafe, or unauthorized activities
  • Not to solicit or advertise commercial products or services

We reserve the right to remove comments, block accounts, or report conduct that violates these guidelines or applicable laws.

4. Privacy and HIPAA Compliance

Acute Rescue strictly adheres to HIPAA regulationsWe do not discuss or disclose PHI or patient-related incidents on social media. Users are prohibited from posting patient information, photos, or identifiable case details on our social pages.

We are not responsible for PHI disclosed by users in public comments.

5. Social Media Links

Our social media accounts may link to third-party websites or shared content. These external links are governed by our External Links Policy and are not under our control.

6. Photo and Content Usage

Any photos or media shared by Acute Rescue on social platforms are either:

  • Publicly available images
  • Images we own or have permission to use through software or other digital licensing agreements
  • Community images shared with explicit permission for public posting
  • Images, video, or other creative content collected,generated, or created by Acute Rescue and Transport authorized personnel

We may update this Social Media Policy at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with a revised effective date.
