Gurney Van Transports
Acute Rescue’s specialized Gurney Van Transport services are designed for patients with limited mobility who require safe and comfortable transportation without the need for medical interventions or monitoring. These transports utilize specially equipped vans to accommodate patients who must remain on a stretcher or gurney throughout the journey.
- Comfort and Safety: Our Gurney Vans are outfitted with advanced equipment to keep patients securely in place during transport. For those who find standard seating uncomfortable, risky, or physically impossible, our vans provide a safe alternative. Patients have the option to sit up or remain lying down on the stretcher, with added headspace and an auto-loading gurney system to enhance comfort and ease. Just like our ambulances, our Gurney Vans are also outfitted with Roscovision cameras, which provide a 360-degree exterior view, interior compartment monitoring, traffic alerts, and cloud-based video capture for incident investigation.
- Certified Transport Operators: Every transport is handled by two CPR-certified operators who are trained to safely maneuver and transport bed-bound patients. Their expertise ensures that patients are securely and comfortably transported to their destination.
- Insurance and Billing: This Gurney Van service is not typically billable to insurance.
Wheelchair and Ambulatory Transports
Acute Rescue’s wheelchair transport services provide safe and reliable transportation for individuals confined to a wheelchair or unable to walk independently. We also offer ambulatory transport services for those who can walk unaided, but require specialized transportation beyond what a personal vehicle can provide. Both services utilize our specially equipped wheelchair vans, designed to accommodate a range of mobility needs.
- Specialized Equipment for Comfort and Accessibility: In addition to standard wheelchairs, Acute Rescue can accommodate a variety of specialty wheelchairs, including motorized wheelchairs and positioning chairs (like “Broda chairs”), upon request. Our wheelchair vans are outfitted with advanced features to ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers.
- Certified Personnel: Each transport is managed by CPR-certified personnel trained to assist mobility-impaired individuals. Our staff is experienced in operating wheelchair vehicles and ramps, ensuring a smooth and secure journey.
- Insurance and Billing: Please note that our wheelchair and ambulatory transport services are not billable to insurance.
Secure Psychiatric Transports
Acute Rescue’s Secure Psychiatric Transport service is specifically designed for individuals with acute mental health conditions who do not require emergency medical treatment or restraint during transport. Acute Rescue’s secure vehicles are equipped with a specialized patient compartment, similar to that of a law enforcement vehicle, ensuring the safety of the patient and others during transport.
- Enhanced Safety and Privacy Features: Our secure vehicles are equipped with Roscovision audio and video monitoring systems, with added visibility to continuously monitor the patient’s safety and well-being throughout the journey, in addition to providing the same 365 vehicle views on the exterior of the vehicle. The secure compartment is designed to prevent any self-harm or harm to others, providing a safe and controlled environment during transport. Secure Psychiatric Vehicles also have limited vehicle branding, increasing privacy and confidentiality for patients.
- Certified Drivers: A single CPR-certified driver is responsible for these secure transports, ensuring professional and compassionate care throughout the journey. Drivers are also trained for additional safety precautions to reduce escape potential for patients on a medical or police hold.
- Insurance and Billing Information: Please note that our secure patient transport service is not billable to insurance.
